UPDATE: New Delivery Date + Resin Pledge Refund Option

Hey there Dungeoneers--

Hanna here! Before I dive into the meat of today's big Update, I want to thank you--our growing and wonderfully lovely BAM Fam community--for all your kindness and patience over the last couple of weeks as I took some time to tend to a death in my family. I was able to spend some really good quality time with my loved ones which made all the difference for healing up going forward. So, truly--thank you. If I could hug y'all, I would. ❤️

Now that I'm back at it with the team, I was able to gather all the info you need to know regarding the molds. In short: SioCast HQ is still working on the bulk of the molds we were hoping to have at the beginning of November. This means we definitely won't be able to ship before the end of the year as we had planned/wished for. 

To be frank: that sucks.  There is nothing quite as frustrating as getting hamstrung again by forces outside of our control and ultimately disappointing you--our backers.

We've been working closely with the SioCast team to come up with a new plan to move forward as quickly as possible, and we've got the next steps figured out. Due to the huge increase in their business over the last year on top of Covid issues, their mold-making team has ended up way further behind on fulfillment than expected. While our team wasn't initially prepared to take on all the mold-making for Dungeon Delvers ourselves (our knowledge is primarily spincast/handcasting), we're going to work in tandem the SioCast team to produce our molds in house and regain some lost ground. We've been training extensively with the new tech and feel now is the time to apply our knowledge in practice. 

That being said, our new official delivery estimate for resin pledges is now June 2022. 

This might seem like a really extended window--because it very much is. Our internal goal is to deliver far sooner than that--but!--we've learned some hard lessons from trying to plan around all the current disruptions to supply chains and shipping. You all know--you've been along for the ride as we've learned them in real time, unfortunately. 😓

We'd rather set the expectation of next summer delivery than overpromise for Q1 and potentially disappoint everyone again with new snags that are likely inevitable. We're just going to start from the position of worse  than absolute worst case scenario and go from there here on out. 

So, as a token of our appreciation for all your continued patience throughout this whole process, we'll be adding some extra goodies to your pledges for free! Y'all deserve it.

RESIN PLEDGE 14-DAY REFUND WINDOW 

Now, we totally understand that some of you probably are over the wait for your pledge and would rather just get a refund at this point. That's fair! We don't want to leave anyone feeling like they're unwillingly along for the ride.

UPDATE: Mold Situation + Livestream Temporarily Postponed

Hey there Dungeoneers,

Hanna here, popping in with some updates:

First, the molds: I can confirm we've started to receive some of the molds we've been waiting on. We unfortunately had some QC issues with the first few molds that arrived, but we're working with the SioCast team to ensure the next molds that come in will meet our strenuous quality standards--and that they replace the problematic ones quickly. The next set of molds are set to arrive by the end of next week with assurances they'll be perfect. Baby steps in the right direction!

Second, the Livestream is postponed: Unfortunately, I need to postpone the livestream temporarily. I am tending to a family issue last minute, and I'll be out of the office starting tomorrow. I will be reaching out to our finalists today to secretly reveal the winner + their prize today. They'll be sworn to secrecy in the short term until I can reschedule and we announce the winner in style with the community! 

I sincerely apologize for the short notice. I am very much looking forward to the livestream and getting to chat more with y'all!

UPDATE: The Latest on Resin Minis Production

Hey there, Dungeoneers!

Hanna here with another update on all of what's happening at the shop currently as we work towards the delivery of all our resin miniatures. Here's the latest:

● Our SioCast Training is Complete!

Our basic staff training has officially wrapped up on using the machine for full-scale manufacturing. The team has focused first on producing the simplest designs of the Dungeon Delvers  resin sets while we acclimate to the new method. As of last week, we've now produced just about every single Sculpted Base in every style and size for the Kickstarter campaign which equates to about... 30,000 resin bases in total!  I think that officially converts to about one hot tub's worth. 🙌 

● Now the Bummer Part... We're Temporarily Stuck Waiting On Molds.

The global shipping crisis still hasn't quite released its grip on us all yet. We worked with the team at SioCast HQ in Spain to develop a set of molds for the more complex designs, freeing up our team at BAM HQ to focus on getting into production quickly once we had the machine on site. Those molds are currently delayed due to supply chain issues, therefore we're stuck waiting on them to arrive before being able to make more progress on fulfillment. 

The upside of the current situation is that we can ship these molds 2-Day Air rather than having to navigate the ocean freight nonsense again (because frankly--🤬  that noise.) The SioCast team has assured us we'll have the first few molds to unstick us by next week, but there are several dozen more they still need to send our way in the coming weeks to get us over the finish line and to delivery. 

Another benefit of the SioCast method of production is that once we have our hands on the molds, we can cast the quota for each figure in just a day or two per mold. That being said, we're feeling confident that we can get all of the resin miniatures out to everyone by the end of 2021 as long as those molds start rolling in shortly as planned. 

Of course, we'll keep you all updated as we know more. Getting Dungeon Delvers  resin to all our backers is top priority here at BAM HQ so we can all get to the fun part of enjoying the collection under a paintbrush and on the tabletop together. And in the meantime, thanks again for all your patience and support through all the madness of the last few months!

● Our First Livestream is Coming Soon!

We'll be demonstrating how we're producing the Dungeon Delvers miniatures, and really take you on deep dive of why the SioCast technology is so awesome. We'll also be announcing the winner of the NAME THE MACHINE CONTEST and show the contents of their BAM Fam Merch Box. We hope you join us for this inaugural stream! NAME THE MACHINE CONTEST: Livestream Event Coming Soon!

✨IT HAS BEEN DONE, DUNGEONEERS...✨

The winner of the NAME THE MACHINE CONTEST has been revealed to us, but we can't just simply announce the winner in a Kickstarter Update! That'd be kinda anti-climactic, really. 

In order to do this up properly, we'll officially announce the winner and show off their BAM Fam Merch Box on our first official BAM Team Livestream!

We'll demonstrate how we're manufacturing all those Dungeon Delvers miniatures, talk about the technology, the materials, and why we think it's so game-changing for the miniatures hobby and tabletop gaming in general. There might even be some Rivenstone talk with Lead Game Designer Will Hungerford too! ✨

We're sorting out our tech set up for the livestream currently, and we'll go live for the first time on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29th @ 10AM PST!
