FINALLY: Dungeon Delvers Resin Rewards are Beginning to Ship this Week!
almost 2 years ago – Thu, Aug 04, 2022 at 02:01:40 PM

Hello Dungeoneers!
First and foremost, thank you for your patience! Myself and the crew have been all hands on deck over the last few weeks prepping, packing, and sorting your orders. Shipping is expected to begin at the end of this week and into the next!

Nearly everybody at BAM HQ got in on the packing action!
Counting and bagging models
Mousefolk Militia models sorted and ready for packing
BAM team sorting and packing your orders
One box down, hundreds to go!
The beginning of the stacks on stacks of boxes piling up around the office, ready for compiling into individual orders!

A quick note as we prepare to ship your orders: we’ve identified a few individual cart errors amongst orders that included add-on items we'll need to resolve before those orders can ship. Our team will reach out to affected folks within the next few days to confirm order details. Please be on the lookout for an email from us, just in case you're one of those few people.

Otherwise, orders that are paid up and cleared to ship will receive an email with tracking info and should be heading out our doors to your doorsteps in beginning Friday this week. The first batch to leaving contains all domestic US orders that do not include any add-ons, followed by international orders of the same configuration next week, and finally all orders with add-on items attached shortly after.

Lastly, if you follow us on the socials you may have seen that the BAM team will also will be at GenCon this week, booth #1834. It's BAM's first time at GenCon and our first convention ever!

We will have some new merch available at the con, including t-shirts, special minis for sale, and a handful of select individual Dungeon Delvers minis in blisters. If you’re in attendance, swing by and say hi to the crew that made the long road trip over! We'd love to meet you face to face.

As always, thanks in advance for your assistance, support, and patience! We're so excited to see these long awaited models out in the world and in your hands. If you have any questions about your order, or need to make a last minute address change, email us at [email protected] for assistance!

Head's Up: Make Sure to View Your Survey Reminder!
almost 2 years ago – Mon, Jul 11, 2022 at 11:26:04 PM

Hi there Dungeoneers!

Just a friendly reminder that we're closing in on shipping, and we need you to double check that your survey information is accurate (especially that shipping address!)

For those of you who have fully completed your survey, there are less than 48 Hours Left to update your answers before locking your address to be ready for shipping. If you haven't locked your order, you have under 48 hours to make your final adjustments to your survey before it locks to prep for shipping.

There is still a sizeable group of folks who have yet to fill out their survey at all. If you're amongst this group, or if you think you might be, follow this link to recover your survey. If we can't get ahold of you before shipping, your shipment may be delayed or we may be forced to mark it abandoned.

Let me know in the comments below if you have any questions/concerns about ensuring your info is up to date. I'm happy to assist!

Thanks again and all my best,

- Hanna + The BAM Team

Hey there Dungeoneers--

I will be sending out reminders to update your shipping addresses this weekend in order to start generating your packing lists and building your boxes.

Please be sure to keep an eye out for that BackerKit email and check your survey information as soon as possible. The sooner we get your info finalized, the sooner we can ship to you. 📦💨

Thanks in advance for your assistance (and I'll be in touch again soon!)

A Quick Note Regarding the Update Gap + Current Fulfillment Status
almost 2 years ago – Fri, Jul 08, 2022 at 06:58:49 PM

Hey Dungeoneers,

There was an unexpected gap in communication over the last two and half weeks (a bit more since my last update), as we unfortunately had an outbreak of covid amongst the BAM staff.

Several key members of the team, myself included, were hit hard (and for most of us the first time ever) which resulted in a sudden and nearly full halt to work in a few departments while folks quarantined and tended to their health. I am back at the office this week finally and trying to play catch up on our backlog of work not only for Dungeon Delvers but on Rivenstone, and several other projects in development as well.

I wanted to put together a fun graphic for you all today celebrating the official completion of Dungeon Delvers production as of two weeks ago, but to be very frank, I am still feeling pretty ill and fatigued. So, please imagine with me, a confetti explosion blowing the top off the full Phial of Progress in a delightfully colorful manner while "Sweet Victory" by David Glen Eisley plays.

Can you hear that melody, friends?

While the office was partially shuttered, we also received the custom art boxes that your pledges will ship in. I got a few snaps this morning to share, and I think they look pretty spiffy! It was a nice surprise upon my return to the shop.

Left: Assembled and ready to pack! Right: About 1/3rd of the boxes staged and prepped

We are dedicating the next couple of weeks to pack out and assembling orders. I'll have the promised packing images and progress when I have more to show you early next week.

While I am disappointed that the outbreak disrupted our goal of shipping by the end of June, I am ultimately thankful that my teammates and I have been recovering well and didn't turn for the worse as the virus has for many. Ultimately, we live to fight another day and kick this project out the door--once and for all.

I hope you are all doing well and as always, I appreciate your patience!

PS: if you're a fellow Washingtonian/PNW'r, do what you can to avoid this new Omicron variant floating around the region, it is a very unpleasant house guest. Wishing good health to you and yours!

PHIAL OF PROGRESS: We're Transitioning to Fulfillment! ✨🥳✨
almost 2 years ago – Sat, Jun 11, 2022 at 04:46:09 AM

Folks,

It's finally happening.

After enduring every possible hiccup over the last year and change, Dungeon Delvers is finally transitioning to fulfillment! Cue the party music. 🎉😎🎉

Our team at BAM HQ has now completed ALL of the molds for Dungeon Delvers (112 in total!), produced 32,000 miniatures comprised of over 100,000+ individual parts, and are packing up the completed product for kitting out at our fulfillment partner Gamerati! Their warehouse crew will be helping us make sure we can pack all of the boxes as quickly as possible for shipping ASAP.

We received the bonus pins at HQ yesterday and they look so slick. We made some extra for our crew to wear too, so we'll all be in the DD Club together. 😎  Check out the pin manufacturing process and finished product below:

The technician is filling each punched metal pin with a slurry made from water and finely ground glass on steel racks. Following this step, these pins will be fired in a kiln to melt the glass and then be polished to a gleaming finish.
Here is the finished product, ready to ship to you!

We've also got snazzy custom printed boxes that are just finishing up this week in printing and should be on their way here to HQ for assembly/packing in the coming days. Check out the design below:

Shoutout to our Lead Concept Artist Brann for hand drawing those sweet flames while designing the graphics. 🔥

I also want to showcase a few of the latest minis to come off the production line that you're definitely going to want to see. I present a Cave Worm and a Lumbering Hulk, fresh out of the mold:

Left: Cave Worm Right: Lumbering Hulk Center: 40mm Base for Scale!

I am personally so proud of my teammates who have been working around the clock to level up their SioCast mold-making skills to ensure BAM HQ is up to the challenge of producing the miniatures we always dreamed of. It has not been an easy road trying to navigate a ridiculous number of challenges to get to this point, but everyone here has showed up every day to put in the elbow grease to power through every snag. Now seeing it all come together after all the tribulations feels truly indescribable. It's relief and pride and excitement all wrapped up in one.

Every one of you who backed our Kickstarter had a direct hand in building a manufacturing facility in the US that now supports a highly trained staff of SioCast mold-makers and machine operators, all of whom cut their teeth on building the miniatures you'll be receiving in just a few short weeks. In fact, the CEO of SioCast has expressed to us that our team is now one of the best SioCast operators out there. Without your help (and serious patience), we never would have had the opportunity to prove our mettle. For that, we are all incredibly grateful. ❤️

TLDR:

  • We're now handing off the finished minis to our fulfillment partner Gamerati to begin sorting/packing the warband boxes for shipment ASAP
  • The last handful of minis made here at HQ are wrapping up early next week
  • The bonus pins just arrived this week and look great!
  • Our custom boxes are wrapping up in print and should arrive here sometime next week
  • The handful of cast resin XL models we tapped our factory partner for assistance on are wrapping next week as well (more pictures coming soon!)

I will update you all again with more pictures from HQ and Gamerati as packing gets fully underway shortly!

All our best,

✌️ Hanna + the BAM Team
