MEGA UPDATE: The Phial of Progress on May 11th 2022!
almost 2 years ago – Thu, May 12, 2022 at 01:52:54 PM

Hello Dungeoneers!

It's been another wild few weeks at the BAM HQ and I have all kinds of great news to share as we're closing in on the very last of production of Dungeon Delvers. Check out the Phial below to see our progress:

We're on track to wrap up all on-site production here by the end of the month, which is a massive achievement for our team considering all of the non-stop headwinds we've faced.

We did make the choice a few weeks ago to outsource a handful of the large scale models to a factory partner we've worked with before, however, as we felt our bandwidth was too thin to make the deadline we set of shipping by end of June. We know they can cast the large pieces in resin as well as we can, and they had the capacity to do so alongside us in this final stretch. We don't want to make y'all wait any longer (and frankly, we're going to be so relieved when the last box is loaded on the truck to the fulfillment center...)

That all being said, we're FINALLY shipping in just a few short weeks! We have packaging coming in, we have a packing team at the ready, and we're so excited to see our minis out there in the world.

Check out some images of the shop this week to see where we're at:

This is what ~87,000 miniatures looks like! There will be about 90 master cartons when all is said and done.
The mold library has continued to grow as we've powered through the last of the miniatures.
The new shop is still a bit bare/disorganized, but its really coming together!
Bins on bins on bins of fresh minis!
A Fungonyte Sovereign rack, just pulled.
A snowflake... made of arms.
Teeny tiny terrain!
The clipping station, going hard!
Full bins! From here, these bins go to QC and packing.
Packed Dark Dwarven Raiders ready to go into retail boxes!
Fungonyte Sovereign SioCast Model - No Clean Up! Just slapped together for a quick rotation.

And because y'all have waited so long already to see what that Mystery Mini was going to be, we've decided to give it up in this update:

Behold! The KS Exclusive "Owlet Page" SioCast mini and "Campaign Survivor" enamel pin! The enamel pin is only for our backers who braved the delays, along with the Owlet Page who was hand-picked from our Patreon Legend of Daemoor STL pack to become a full fledged resin mini. This little critter really fits perfectly into the Dungeon Delvers world. Check out the size comparison with the Fungonyte Sovereign (on a 50mm base) below:

We hope you enjoy these gifts from our team as a huge thanks for your patience and positivity throughout the last year (and change.) We couldn't be more thankful for such a great group of folks who have helped us grow as professionals and as a team.

Let us know what you think about the reveals below!

All my best,

- Hanna + The BAM Team

PHIAL OF PROGRESS: Where we're at as of today, Apr 16th!
about 2 years ago – Sun, Apr 17, 2022 at 12:38:49 PM

Hey there, Dungeoneers!

First and foremost, I am very sorry it's taken me so long to get this update pulled together. I let the last month get away from me, to be frank, as my workload has multiplied significantly recently managing all of the current happenings at BAM HQ.

That being said, I am so glad to finally be back with you for an update after such an intense few weeks and I have all kinds of news to share, starting with our very sudden move to a new location!

As many of you know, our team has been growing over the last year thanks to the support of our ever expanding community--y'all being amongst the core founders of it (❤️). But a growing team means increased requirements for production floor, office space, as well as... "critical" facilities. Now with 20+ people on board, the original BAM HQ has definitely felt more cramped than cozy.

A few months ago we realized that if we were going to keep up with our projects we needed to find a new place to call HQ--especially as the master boxes of completed Dungeon Delvers  miniatures alone enveloped our little packing station corner. The search that ensued over the last few months was a bit demoralizing as we couldn't find a place that could accommodate a small business as unique as ours at a price we could afford.

Then, just a few weeks ago, we found it... BAM HQ V2. It has the room/layout we need to run more efficiently, HVAC to prevent being frozen out of the shop in the winters and smoked out in the summers, and best of all, an appropriate number of bathrooms.  ✨🙏✨

To make BAM HQ V2 a reality, however, we had to move our entire facility and team almost immediately. Moving a business in its entirety on a shoestring budget is stressful enough, but add it on top of working through Dungeon Delvers  final production kinks and prepping for a massive new campaign for Rivenstone... I'm putting it lightly when I say its been unpleasant.

It took us two and half weeks of prep and another to haul, but we officially got the vast majority of the move done late yesterday with the help of all our teammates hauling equipment into and out of trucks like true champions. We expect to be back up and running by the end of next week so we can get back to continue hammering out the last bit of Dungeon Delvers  production.

In the two weeks of working time before we started moving prep, we managed to knock out another 7% of the overall manufacturing total from our last update. Check out the updated Phial below:

As it stands currently, even with a giant disruption like this move, we're still on track for shipping in June! I'll have more updates for you soon, including images of the new facility and a final list of the models that required modification to produce them as effectively as possible.

In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy this weekend with some spring weather!

All my best and thanks again for your patience,

✌️ Hanna + The BAM Team

Greetings Dungeoneers!

I hope this note finds you all well. We've been continuing our run to the finish line in the shop and we're getting so tantalizingly close to packing all this up and shipping out! Check out the Phial below:

We're currently slogging through the most complex and largest pieces left to produce, and we've realized we have to make some revisions to a portion of the miniature sculpts. Such changes include some sizing adjustments and sculpt tweaks here and there to ensure the miniatures we're producing in SioCast are of the highest quality possible.

I'm putting together another Update soon that will document which models are being adjusted and in what way for your reference, like a bit like a change-log for software. We aren't making any drastic changes to any models, but we want to be transparent about our process regardless so you know what to expect when finally get to open up your Dungeon Delvers  boxes.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns leave a comment or drop us a line at [email protected]!

PHIAL OF PROGRESS: Feb 14th - Feb 25, and Other News!
about 2 years ago – Wed, Mar 02, 2022 at 02:42:12 AM

Greetings Dungeoneers--

Well, it took me longer than expected to pull together this update, and the last week has simply flown by me since the livestream! We've got the pedal to the metal here at the shop in our pursuit of the production finish line, in addition to a host of exciting new developments that I'll sharing a bit of below. Check out the Phial to see where we're at as of today:

We've now officially crossed the 3/4ths complete milestone! The mold designs are definitely getting more complex as we go, especially for certain warbands like the Froggkin and Dark Dwarves with all their jutting/overlapping features. These molds are slow going, but are coming along as expected!

QUICK NOTE: I've decided to adjust the posting schedule for the Phial of Progress from every Friday to every other Tuesday for the next few weeks for a couple of reasons: A) I probably don't need to be spamming your inbox for small increases every 7 days, and B) my workload is going to be a little insane over the coming weeks and every extra minute is going to count.

Why would that be, you ask? In case you missed last week's livestream with myself and Will Hungerford, BAM's Lead Game Designer, we announced something huge for our team...

✨We're going to ADEPTICON 2022 to demo Rivenstone!

If you're going, make sure to come see us and say hi out in the wild at BAM's first ever convention! If you'd like to know more about our biggest project ever, we recently launched RivenstoneGame.com to create a central location for all the content that we're about to release. We hope you check it out and sign up for alerts!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, comment here or drop us a line via email -> [email protected] 👍✨

Sending you all our best,

- Hanna + the BAM Team
